MAC Custom Homes is a premier builder of custom homes, remodeling and major renovations in the Greater Grand Traverse areas of Elk Lake, Torch Lake, Bellaire, Elk Rapies, Kewadin, Northport, Lake Leelanau, Grand Traverse area and Lake Michigan shoreline. Owned and operated by the husband and wife team of Mike and Robin Collings, MAC has earned a reputation for quality craftsmanship. Mike Collings, president builder and contractor, has over 25 years in the building industry and has been building in this area since 1980.

Mike Collings started his career in building homes as a teenager.  Working as a apprentice under a framing contractor he gained the knowledge and skill set needed to become a carpenter.   As time went on Mike found he had a unique talent in carpentry and continued to grow and learn all that he could, eventually owning his own framing company in Northern Michigan.  As his knowledge for the industry grew so did Mike's passion for building homes.  This led him to become licensed as a general contractor and founded MAC Custom Homes in Northern Michigan and the Greater Grand Traverse area including Elk Lake, Torch Lake and the Lake Michigan Shoreline.
